Democracy works best when it stays close to the people.

I spoke out against SB472 -- a bill that would strip local communities of their voice in school board governance by removing local authority over appointments and removals. Our schools deserve leadership that answers to the families, students, and communities they serve -- not distant decision-makers.

Local control matters. Accountability matters. Our voices matter.

I will not stop fighting for the preservation of our democracy.
